Nectar Sunglasses

I am excited to show you all these in action~ She makes it look pretty!

Nectar sells these affordable, cute and stylish sunglasses! I adore the kind that come with vibrant colorful lens. It really makes them pop and honestly I'm really into lens that conceal your eyes! shy folks hay ;)

It's lightweight but has sturdy material plus if you happen to lose or sit on them by accident (whoops) you can easily afford another pair! :)

What's even better? The amazing part is that you can customize your own pair down to choosing separate colors for each arm.

I personally would take advantage of that for some unique sunnies! Since we all don't have the same style.. this sounds fun to mix and match! Build your own to find your color combinations. You have a wide range of colors to choose from. Glowing, neon (my fav!) and icy that's light/pastel- esque.

Blue: sherwood & Pink: starboard

Basically this means we are off to the lake for pictures. I'm waiting to go again to actually take a dip in there if I'm not too short! :D

  • Maybelline SuperStay 24HR Makeup Sand Beige
  • Neutrogena SkinClearing mineral powder Classic Ivory & Buff
  • Revlon ColorStay pressed powder Light

Who runs out of all their foundation all at once? :( Nooooo! As much as I HATE  trying out different shades of foundations, it's time to venture out for something lighter and cheap! It'll be cool if there were no mixing involved.

I did some research on a liquid foundation for *at least* medium coverage. I love full coverage the most since it stays on my skin much longer.

revlon colorstay pressed powder

Revlon Colorstay pressed powder in light
First impressions: Goes on smooth but this shade was too light for me.
(+)
  • great coverage
  • long lasting
  • doesn't look cakey.

(-)
  • if you have a problem nose, you'll need to re-apply!

Using this in the fall definitely. I apply it with a brush and use it over my liquid foundation. Next time I'll try out light medium!

Neutrogena Skinclearing powder classic ivory
Bare vs Neutrogena SkinClearing mineral powder Classic Ivory

First impressions: No likey. Could see redness and gave my skin a cakey, dry appearance.

(+)
  • two sided applicator sheer & fuller coverage
  • matte face
  • touch ups around 6+ hrs

(-)
  • not enough coverage for redness
  • can be cakey
  • may have to prep skin

I have to prep my skin well if I'm going to use this powder by itself. Not a big deal to me. I used this by itself for under two weeks. Can this just be my acne treatment? You can see in the next photo that my blemishes are nearly gone.

I'll keep using these powders for the 0.5% Salicylic Acid and to keep my face shine free :)

Next!!

Maybelline SuperStay 24HR Makeup Sand Beige
First impressions: :( Little too nude/pink in person then it kind of settles.

(+)
  • medium coverage
  • feels light
  • touch ups 6+ hrs
(/)
  • easy to remove. don't wear this to go swimming!
(-)
  • none as of yet!

I used this for around three weeks. It's definitely a lighter version of Revlon Colorstay. It's lasting power is quite similar too! It blends nicely near my neck. (+++)

What's your summer makeup? :D

Some day out of the blue it will find you {ootd}

Manic Panic Voodoo Blue
10-22mm

I'm dying to do some portraits and since no one seems to be available I'm doing myself! Which can either be fun or "Is it in focus yet?!" Looks like I have finally hit my hair goal length and it only took a million years!

This is one of the BEST summers I've had in years. Not once have I sat at home wondering what I'm going to do for the next month and having no ideas. I've done several portrait sessions, attempted hiking, met a bunch of new people, came out of my shell, did some crafts, dyed my hair blue, attempted some OOTD's and released some PS actions!

First time I've ever been social and it's not as intimidating as I thought.

Metallica! 2-3 years ago, I think. There was a time that I went to a bunch of concerts and it all seems to mesh together now. I haven't been to one since last year and Iron Maiden is coming up next month. By now it's only the lawn available.

Anyways this shirt no longer fits at the bust. My second attempt at a crop top.
Might consider wearing this out if I had high(er) waist shorts.

Then there's this hand-me-down black lace tube dress! I am no longer determined to force this to fit on me. It simply will not zip up around the bust. It's one of those things you know there's a HUGE possibility of the zipper not coming back down and you may have to cut yourself out!

I feel like I've disappeared for weeks, what have I missed?

Summer OOTD with Manic Panic Voodoo Blue

I am enjoying these days inside, out with friends or photographing!  Making a note to myself to put aside money and buy a new piece of clothing each week to slowly build a new wardrobe!
