  • Neutrogena SkinClearing mineral powder Classic Ivory & Buff
  • Revlon ColorStay pressed powder Light

Who runs out of all their foundation all at once? :( Nooooo! As much as I HATE  trying out different shades of foundations, it's time to venture out for something lighter and cheap! It'll be cool if there were no mixing involved.

I did some research on a liquid foundation for *at least* medium coverage. I love full coverage the most since it stays on my skin much longer.

revlon colorstay pressed powder

Revlon Colorstay pressed powder in light
First impressions: Goes on smooth but this shade was too light for me.
  • great coverage
  • long lasting
  • doesn't look cakey.

  • if you have a problem nose, you'll need to re-apply!

Using this in the fall definitely. I apply it with a brush and use it over my liquid foundation. Next time I'll try out light medium!

Neutrogena Skinclearing powder classic ivory
Bare vs Neutrogena SkinClearing mineral powder Classic Ivory

First impressions: No likey. Could see redness and gave my skin a cakey, dry appearance.

  • two sided applicator sheer & fuller coverage
  • matte face
  • touch ups around 6+ hrs

  • not enough coverage for redness
  • can be cakey
  • may have to prep skin

I have to prep my skin well if I'm going to use this powder by itself. Not a big deal to me. I used this by itself for under two weeks. Can this just be my acne treatment? You can see in the next photo that my blemishes are nearly gone.

I'll keep using these powders for the 0.5% Salicylic Acid and to keep my face shine free :)

Maybelline SuperStay 24HR Makeup Sand Beige
First impressions: :( Little too nude/pink in person then it kind of settles.

  • medium coverage
  • feels light
  • touch ups 6+ hrs
  • easy to remove. don't wear this to go swimming!
  • none as of yet!

I used this for around three weeks. It's definitely a lighter version of Revlon Colorstay. It's lasting power is quite similar too! It blends nicely near my neck. (+++)

What's your summer makeup? :D
