Review: Maybelline, Neutrogena & Revlon

  • Maybelline SuperStay 24HR Makeup Sand Beige
  • Neutrogena SkinClearing mineral powder Classic Ivory & Buff
  • Revlon ColorStay pressed powder Light

These are the products that I've been trying out lately. I usually never stray away from Revlon Colorstay but I wanted to get something lighter to wear. I was aiming for at least medium coverage to at least mask any redness.

revlon colorstay pressed powder
Revlon Colorstay pressed powder Light

First impressions: Goes on smooth but this shade was too light for me. Light Medium would have probably worked better for summer.

  • great coverage
  • long lasting
  • doesn't look cakey.
  • if you have a problem nose, you'll need to re-apply!
Neutrogena Skinclearing powder classic ivory

Bare vs Neutrogena SkinClearing mineral powder Classic Ivory

First impressions: Hated! It made my skin look dry and it caked up. It didn't cover redness.

  • two-sided applicator sheer & fuller coverage
  • matte face
  • touch ups around 6+ hrs
  • not enough coverage for redness
  • drying and cakey
  • extra skin prep
I'll keep using these powders for the 0.5% Salicylic Acid though.

Maybelline SuperStay 24HR Makeup Sand Beige
First impressions: Little too nude/pink in person then it kind of settles.

  • medium coverage
  • Feels light
  • Touch ups 6+ hrs
  • Easily removable with water
I used this for around three weeks. It's definitely a lighter version of Revlon Colorstay. The lasting power is quite similar too! It blends nicely near my neck.

What's your summer makeup?
