Cute Finds

One of my favorite photographers, Caitlin Worthington!

I want everything floral with this color combination. This skirt is way gorgeous on Adrian!

Yes! Another skirt ;D Take a moment and head over to Kaley's blog and try to convince her to start up a shop for these babies!

I'm still waiting for a fair to hit my state. Anna's photographs are beautiful!
Unique sunglasses. The flowers look small enough to be wearable for every day. I'll like to own a pair soon for a shoot.

Umm yes please?
I'm thinking of adding another wig to my collection. Maybe two toned?

I am patiently waiting for Fall so I'm able to buy some cardigans and sweaters. ^-^

Have a wonderful Friday!

Updates: New Lens, Fitness & Hair!

Sorry I've been lacking a presence in the blogger world lately.
What have I been up to?

I made a goal with some people to lose 20 pounds in 3 months. It starts in September but wanted two weeks to adjust to healthier eating habits and exercise first! I attempted the 30 day shred and did two days before my legs were too sore to continue but I'm happy that I was able to complete it nonstop. I have lost 5 pounds so far.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE MY NEW LENS.

The 85mm has such beautiful bokeh. I wanted an upgrade from the 50mm 1.8 but figured might as well get the 85mm since I plan to use it outside anyway. The extra distance is fine! I have a few shoots lined up already so it's exciting.

I sort of have a new hair color/s/.

That green/teal color is Voodoo Blue (undiluted)! I'm hoping to get more green up top and purple on the ends.

I'm going to try to do makeup now- just in case my makeup artist isn't available.

Who else is excited for Fall?

Foundations: Boots No7's Nude vs Colorstay's Buff

Boots 07 Lifting & Firming Foundation in Nude.

Boots No7 is the only foundation that matches me perfectly but it doesn't have the long lasting power like Studio Fix or Colorstay.  It's also more of a light to buildable medium coverage. The plus for it is the bottle! It has a pump. :)  If they could make a thicker formula it would be my HG!  I really prefer medium/heavy coverage for covering redness/acne.

I usually wear Revlon Colorstay's Buff in Winter,  Sand Beige in Spring and Nude/Fresh Beige during summer.  The oily/combo formula is the best one.

Revlon Colostay Fresh Beige

Photoready 005 Natural Beige

A little extra~  I tried out this foundation recently and I didn't like it at all.  Coverage was medium, it stayed on for a long time but it stained me.  I washed my skin before bed and woke up looking like I had a fake fan that would NOT scrub off.   This foundation contains shimmer particles for a dewy look.  I wouldn't recommend wearing this for photos for that reason.

Maybe I got a bad bottle.  The shade looked pink in person and had too much shine in photos.  This also darkened on my skin as time went by.

Baked Mac & Cheese Recipe

Baking mac & cheese has been on my list for quite some time. I'm low on ingredients and wanted to make do with what I had. Plus, I needed a way to use up a pack of sliced cheese!

(Never thought I would write one up! I'm more of a toss + taste person instead of using exact measurements)

What I used:

Elbow macaroni: One package
Flour: 2 1/2 tablespoons
Salt
Butter: 4 tablespoons
Cheese: 3 cups
Milk: 1 cup
Preheat oven to 350°F

I mixed salt and flour in a small bowl while waiting for the macaroni to become tender. I used a pack of American cheese and a bag of leftover Cheddar Jack cheese. I had a total of 3 cups worth of cheese!

  • Sprayed my dish with cooking spray
  • Poured half of the macaroni into it
  • Sprinkled half of the flour/salt mixture on top.
  • Separated butter into pieces and poured over
  • Sprinkled half of the cheese on top (1 1/2 cups)

I wanted it to layer so I repeated all of this until all of it was used.

I poured one cup of milk on top of it. My dish had a lid but I'm sure foil could be used, right? I checked on it in 35 minutes and left it for another 5 without the lid on.

I really liked it. I can't wait to improve the recipe or somehow incorporate Sriracha in it to make a spicy version.
