Manic Panic Ultra Violet Over Pink Hair

I used Special Effects Pimpin Purple recently and within a month or two it faded to this crazy hot pink.  It's so vibrant and not for me lol

I decided to try to cover it with a different brand of purple this time. My plan is that it will fade better with a purple that is blue based rather than pink.  I went with 2.5 jars of Manic Panic's Ultra Violet.  I washed it out in 3 hours and got this awesomeness:

I used the leftover 1/2 jar mixed with conditioner and washed it out in an hour. So much better!!

It looks like it has pink highlights which looks cool.

Update:  I have a guide on how to bleach your hair safely using coconut oil!   Bleach and dye in the same day is possible as long as your hair is completely dry before applying the dye.

Penguin Amigurumi

Penguin Amigurumi
Penguin Amigurumi
This is my first amigurumi with color changes. I had thought about sharing the pattern here but it's kind of a mess to explain and type out. I might make a few more to see if I could correct the unevenness first since it's a bit off.

Penguin Bag
I also made a penguin pouch thing but I couldn't fully complete it since I had no fabric to line it or a zipper. I'll keep it as a side project for now.

Pink Penguin Amigurumi
These penguins don't have the color changes that the first one does. These are more basic! You start with one color and then switch to other. The arms look more like floppy ears haha.
Purple Penguin Amigurumi Purple Penguin Amigurumi
Those were my attempts at doing yarn knots for eyes since I'm trying to save my safety eyes for Squittles!

Happy Holidays!

Knit: Sage Colored Cowl

This is my first knitted cowl! I used Caron yarn for this since it was really soft and breathable. I'm not too experienced with knitting so I got this done in a couple of days. Crochet is definitely something I'm much quicker with. I think the length of the cowl ended up being close to 10 inches long. Now I'll love to move onto doing an infinity scarf next!

Amigurumi: Panda Octopus

I'm really happy with this design! I wanted to mix an octopus with other animals for awhile so I started with a panda bear since I thought it would be super cute. Soon I'll make this in other colors like blue and pink.

I even took him out for a drive :)

Knit: Simple Bows

I decided to make these cute knit bows using the pattern from Knitted Fox Trot! I just put a bobby pin through it to secure it onto my hair. The pink bow is a crocheted one for funsies.

Oh! My hair is faded SFX Pimpin Purple if you're wondering. :)

Try on the piece and make sure it covers your toes nicely.  Crochet more or less rounds to fit.

13. Decrease once, sc across to the corner. Decrease once in the next corner.

(X's showing each decrease.)

Tip: Fold the piece to find the corners. Wear it and put markers in.

*I crocheted 17 single crochets across to cover.  You want some material to go on top of your foot (the purple in the image). You don't want it to be too low.

14. Sc once. Chain 1. Turn the piece and single crochet 17* times.
15. Turn. Chain 1. Sc across.
16. Repeat 'Turn. Chain 1. Sc across' until it covers the back of your heel.
(Mine: 19 rounds)

-Put the back sides together to form the heel and slip stitch it shut.

Skip the last slip stitch and pull the yarn through the hole to form that round/curved back shown in the left image.

Cut yarn. Attach yarn to the top and slip stitch twice in each hole to create an edging.

Make it more snug plz:

I attached yarn at one side and crocheted across the heel:
Sc, dec across (3-4) and ended with a sc.

G hook, blue edging:

Skip all the extras and put on your slipper ( attach yarn in middle) and chain to other side for Mary Janes!

Art: Pixie Girl Frame

.

It's my first time using Illustrator! I fixed the frame in Photoshop and mirrored it for a basic idea. The initial plan was the original sketch but then I had messed up on my layers and had to restart it. I decided to do a simple portrait to keep me sane. I'm halfway through with the lineart.

I'll edit the post with whatever I end up doing with it.

Art: Pink Haired Girl

I wish I kept up digital art when I was younger since I could have made progress by now. This took me about 2 hours to doodle since I started with a completely different face and hairstyle. I kept changing it because it looked off. Originally started it in Open Canvas but moved into Photoshop to mirror it to make it look symmetrical.

Latest Crochet Projects

watermelon scarf

I made a triangle scarf awhile back and suddenly got the idea to make a strawberry/watermelon version of it! I used leftover yarn so I'm not sure what brand I used. The pictures aren't great since my walls are a dark purple and it blocks decent lighting.

Edit: I put up a pattern for the Watermelon Scarf

I also made some octopuses! I don't have safety eyes yet so I used beads and buttons.
