CROCHET/KNIT/DIY

How long have you been crocheting and how did you learn?
Self taught. Crissy: 2008 Amanda: 2007

Questions regarding to fit & sizing on patterns:
Hats are designed to fit my own head at a 22" circumference. This is the average size. The slipper pattern specifically fits a size 7 US. It's easy to make it fit your own by decreasing or increasing on as you go.

Can you count stitches and post it in the patterns? We don’t have time to remake everything at the moment but it is on my list...

Can I sell creations made from your patterns?
Personal use only by default.

PHOTOGRAPHY

How long have you been shooting?
Around 10 years starting off with point & shoot cameras (Canon, Kodak, Nikon and Fujifilm) and disposable film.

Favorite cameras? A few of my old favorites and brands: Canon 7D, Canon 5D Mark II, Fujifilm, Kodak & Samsung Note 4.

2017:  Sony A6000
2018: Sony α7R II
2020: Canon G7 X Mark II

How did you learn to use a DSLR? Self-taught with lots of experiments (and failures!). I was using the Aperture Priority setting for years until I took the time to google the Manual setting. It’s worth learning to be able to control your images! Get results right in-camera instead of relying on fixing it through post-processing. It’s a huge time saver.

What lenses have you used?
Canon (links to amazon): 18-135mm, 50mm 2.5, 50mm 1.8,10-22mm, 85mm 1.8, 50mm 1.4 & 18-55mm

How did you learn post-processing techniques? I studied various techniques for portrait retouching and practiced for a month straight. I had prior experience in Photoshop so the process was easier. I began with doing high end/magazine retouching and my editing has simplified as my style changed.

What tips do you have for a beginner?
Read my post Tips For Better Portraits :)

What's your favorite Photoshop actions?  Dawn and Florabella actions.
2016: I don't use much actions anymore. I mainly edit in Camera RAW and save it as a preset.
